Here's some sites that I've found the most helpful while building my website and learning to code

PetraPixel: This site has plenty of tutorials for beginners, and a really amazing (mobile friendly!) layout generator that I used to make my site! You can learn a lot through the notes in the code, which tell you exactly what everything does! It's all incredibly intuitive!

freeCodeCamp: If you're serious about learning to code, this is the place to go. the interactive course teaches you everything, starting with the basics, and slowly working up to the most advanced techniques.

Coco's Pixel Safari: For all your graphics needs! This site contains a vast collection of stamps, buttons, blinkies, pixels, gifs, and so much more!! Their directory and webrings can also point you to some really cool sites with even more resources!

MDN Border Image Generator: If you want to use custom borders for your website, this tool makes it really easy to visually slice your border image. I'd suggest copying their code and replacing the image url with a version of the image on your site

Ezgif.com: This web app is the easiest way I know of to make gifs. You can convert from video to gif, add images and text, crop, and resize the gif.

Jameso2's Neocities "site to user-profile tool": This neat little tool adds a bookmark to your bookmarks bar that will take you any neocities user's profile if you are currently on their website! It's really helpful when trying to follow a neocities user!
